Mata Hati Kita

Mata Hati Kita is an anthology of first-person stories written by lesbians, bisexual women, and transgender individuals in Malaysia. Through 24 personal narratives, the book explores themes of identity, love, resilience, and what it means to live authentically in society.

Published at a time when such stories were rarely visible in Malaysia, Mata Hati Kita created space for voices that are often unheard. The collection highlights shared human experiences while offering insight into the challenges faced by diverse communities.

The book has received attention from a range of readers and reviewers, sparking conversations and reflections across different perspectives. Some of its stories have also been featured in media platforms, helping to bring these narratives to a wider audience.

As part of the work of Knowledge and Rights with Young people through Safer Spaces (KRYSS), this anthology uses storytelling as a tool to foster empathy, understanding, and awareness of diverse lived experiences.
